Responsibilities:

• The safety of everyone on the road heavily relies on the caution practiced by tractor-trailer drivers.
• Check vehicles meticulously before and after trips to ascertain their road readiness.
• Develop a strategic approach to coordinating delivery routes in a manner that boosts efficiency and guarantees deliveries are made on time.
• Adhere to the established guidelines for handling and packaging to ensure the safe and secure transportation of shipments.
• Sustain clear and efficient communication with both dispatchers and customers throughout each stage of the delivery procedure.
• Keep careful documentation of both the time spent working and the routine maintenance of your vehicle.
• Ensure the safety of employees and products during transport by adhering to safety guidelines and regulations outlined by the Department of Transportation.
• Report promptly any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations to ensure compliance with regulations is maintained.

Qualifications:

• Have a certified Class A commercial driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Observing the guidelines for a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical assessment and substance misuse detection.
• Proficiency in organizing time and synchronizing various activities.
• Adept in the efficient and secure transport of heavy and unwieldy items.
• Experienced in delivering outstanding customer care, skilled in fostering enduring connections with clientele.
• Report promptly to the authorities any issues or violations concerning vehicles to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van, also known as a box trailer, is a type of trucking trailer that is enclosed and used to haul non-perishable goods. Refrigerated, or reefer, trailers are equipped with cooling systems to transport perishable goods at controlled temperatures. Flatbed trailers have an open body with no sides or roof, commonly used for transporting oversized or oddly shaped cargo. Tanker trailers are specialized for transporting liquids or gases, with various designs based on the specific substance being transported
• Various techniques, including Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, and Auto Hauler, are deployed to transport goods and vehicles from one place to another
• Household goods refer to a variety of items that are often found in residential settings
