Job Summary

We are actively seeking an independent and driven Local Box Truck Owner Operator to handle last-mile or short-haul deliveries within designated city or metro areas. This role is ideal for entrepreneurs who own a box truck and want to take control of their income by partnering with a reliable logistics network. Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver freight using your own box truck on local routes.
• Ensure timely deliveries while following all customer-specific instructions.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, invoices, and trip documentation.
• Communicate with dispatchers or clients for updates, load assignments, and delivery confirmations.
• Manage fuel, tolls, maintenance, and operational expenses efficiently.
• Provide professional, courteous service at all drop-off and pick-up locations.
• Secure cargo properly and handle freight carefully to avoid damage or delays.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid CDL and ownership of a 14’–26’ box truck in good working condition.
• Proof of active insurance, registration, and operating authority (if required).
• Previous experience with delivery driving or independent contracting preferred.
• Knowledge of local delivery routes, traffic patterns, and customer service standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages or materials safely when needed.

Salary

Pay varies based on route type, driver experience, and employment structure (company driver). Drivers can expect competitive per-mile rates, hourly wages, or percentage-based pay. Additional incentives may be offered for safe driving, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery.
