Commercial Vehicle Operator

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a safety-focused and detail-oriented Commercial Vehicle Operator to manage the transport of goods and materials using a variety of mid- to large-sized vehicles. This position involves operating company-assigned commercial vehicles across local or regional routes, ensuring prompt and secure delivery while complying with traffic regulations and company procedures. Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks, flatbeds, or utility vans to complete scheduled deliveries.
• Inspect and monitor vehicle systems to ensure daily operational readiness.
• Manage pick-up and drop-off of goods while following customer-specific instructions.
• Navigate using GPS and dispatch communication tools to remain on schedule.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight as needed, securing cargo safely.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal transportation regulations at all times.
• Complete vehicle inspection forms, trip records, and delivery logs accurately.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current CDL with a clean and verifiable driving history.
• Previous experience operating commercial vehicles in delivery, utility, or freight roles.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting or reporting.
• Ability to use route tracking software and communication devices effectively.
• Customer-oriented with good communication and time management skills.
• Capable of lifting, moving, and securing various types of freight when required.

Salary

Pay varies based on route type, driver experience, and employment structure (company driver). Drivers can expect competitive per-mile rates, hourly wages, or percentage-based pay. Additional incentives may be offered for safe driving, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery.
