Responsibilities:

• Underline the critical nature of prioritizing safety considerations for drivers handling tractor-trailers.
• Verify the roadworthiness of vehicles through rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Organize and optimize delivery routes to meet scheduling requirements and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Maintain safety and security during transportation by adhering to industry standards for handling and packaging shipments.
• Foster open and transparent communication with both dispatchers and customers throughout all delivery interactions.
• Keep careful track of the time spent working and the maintenance tasks carried out on vehicles.
• Maintaining the safety of personnel and cargo requires the strict observance of safety protocols and adherence to DOT guidelines.
• Promptly report any vehicle anomalies, accidents, or violations to uphold compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Maintain a legitimate Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.
• Accomplishment of a DOT physical exam and drug testing procedure.
• Capability in coordinating tasks and managing time adeptly.
• Skilled in the safe and efficient handling of heavy objects during transportation.
• Well-versed in customer care, with a strong ability to build relationships with a variety of clients.
• Rapidly alert the necessary individuals of any vehicle-related problems or infractions to uphold safety and regulatory standards.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van trailers, also referred to as enclosed trailers, provide protection from the elements for goods being transported across long distances. Refrigerated trailers, commonly called reefers, use a cooling system to maintain specific temperatures for perishable goods like food and pharmaceuticals. Flatbed trailers are versatile for carrying heavy or unusually shaped loads that cannot be accommodated by traditional box trailers. Tanker trailers are specifically designed to safely transport liquids or gases, with features such as reinforced tanks and sealed compartments
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, Auto Hauler represent distinct approaches to transporting goods and automobiles across different distances
• Specialized products are customized to serve particular functions or purposes
