Responsibilities:

• Ensuring road safety is crucial for every individual operating tractor-trailers.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles prior to and following journeys to guarantee their roadworthiness.
• Create a well-thought-out strategy for organizing delivery routes to maximize efficiency and guarantee on-time deliveries.
• Ensure the safe and secure transportation of shipments by following the prescribed protocols for handling and packaging.
• Keep open and effective lines of communication with dispatchers and clients throughout all phases of the delivery process.
• Keep accurate records of both the time allocated for work and routine maintenance of your vehicle.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations set by the Department of Transportation to safeguard both workers and cargo during transportation.
• Immediately notify authorities of any issues regarding vehicles, accidents, or infractions to guarantee compliance with rules.

Qualifications:

• Hold a legitimate Class A commercial driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Meeting the requirements of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical checkup and drug testing.
• Proficient skills in time management and task coordination.
• Skilled in the effective and safe management of large items during transit.
• Skilled in delivering exceptional customer service, proficient in cultivating lasting connections with customers.
• Promptly report any concerns or infractions related to vehicles in order to maintain safety and compliance with rules.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry vans, or box trailers, are enclosed trucking trailers designed for transporting non-perishable items. Refrigerated trailers, also known as reefers, feature cooling capabilities to carry perishable goods under regulated temperatures. Flatbed trailers lack sides and a roof, making them ideal for transporting large or irregularly shaped loads. Tanker trailers are tailored for hauling liquids or gases, featuring different configurations depending on the substance being transported
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, and Auto Hauler are various transportation modes used for the transfer of goods and automobiles
• Household goods comprise a range of products typically seen in homes
