Tanker Driver

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Tanker Driver to transport liquid or bulk materials across short and long-distance routes. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of tank handling procedures, and strict adherence to safety protocols. As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for managing specialized loads such as fuel, chemicals, or food-grade liquids, ensuring proper containment and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tanker trucks to deliver liquid or bulk freight to designated destinations.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring trailer integrity and proper seal conditions.
• Monitor tank pressure, temperature, and volume levels during transit.
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations related to hazardous or sensitive materials.
• Handle product transfers using pumps, hoses, and valves while following containment protocols.
• Maintain delivery records, route documentation, and incident logs accurately.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid CDL and experience driving tanker units or similar specialized trailers.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous material handling (if applicable).
• Strong understanding of tanker safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus on long routes or in remote locations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to load integrity.

Salary

Pay varies based on route type, driver experience, and employment structure (company driver). Drivers can expect competitive per-mile rates, hourly wages, or percentage-based pay. Additional incentives may be offered for safe driving, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery.
