Responsibilities:

• Place a strong focus on the safety of all drivers during the operation of tractor-trailers on the roads.
• Verify the roadworthiness of vehicles through rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Efficiently coordinate and structure delivery routes to achieve maximum productivity and on-time deliveries.
• Abide by industry regulations for handling and packaging shipments to ensure their safe and secure transportation.
• Sustain clear and concise communication with dispatchers and customers for efficient delivery coordination.
• Keep careful track of the time spent working and the maintenance tasks carried out on vehicles.
• It is crucial to follow safety measures and abide by DOT regulations for the protection of both employees and freight.
• Ensure compliance by reporting promptly any vehicle issues, accidents, or infractions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.
• Accomplishment of a DOT physical exam and drug testing procedure.
• Skilled in time-control and harmonizing various responsibilities.
• Skilled in the safe and efficient movement of bulky materials.
• Exhibiting expertise in customer service, particularly in nurturing client rapport.
• Rapidly alert the necessary individuals of any vehicle-related problems or infractions to uphold safety and regulatory standards.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van trailers, also known as box trailers, are commonly used for transporting goods that need protection from the elements. Reefers are specialized trailers with cooling systems for transporting perishable items at specific temperatures. Flatbed trailers have an open design suitable for carrying heavy or oversized cargo that cannot be accommodated by enclosed trailers. Tanker trailers are designed for safely transporting liquids or gases, with various configurations available based on the specific material being hauled
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, Auto Hauler present different strategies for moving cargo, catering to various logistics requirements
• Specialized products are customized to serve particular functions or purposes
