Responsibilities:

• Advocate for a strong emphasis on ensuring safety for drivers operating large trucks on the roadways.
• Validate the fitness of vehicles for travel by conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Strategically design delivery schedules to maximize effectiveness and meet delivery deadlines.
• Follow industry protocols for handling and packaging shipments to guarantee their safe and secure transportation.
• Engage in effective communication practices with dispatchers and customers to enhance the delivery experience.
• Stay organized by documenting work hours and vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Following safety procedures and complying with DOT mandates is vital to secure the safety of personnel and the items being transported.
• It is essential to report right away any vehicle concerns, accidents, or breaches to uphold compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Have a current Class A CDL credential.
• Clean driving record.
• Execution of a DOT physical evaluation and substance abuse testing.
• Demonstrated competence in managing time effectively and coordinating tasks.
• Capable of moving and handling weighty materials effectively and securely.
• Possessing a talent for customer relationship management, skilled at establishing rapport with customers.
• Immediately report any concerns or violations related to vehicles to prioritize safety and compliance.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van transport involves using a conventional trailer with a roof and doors to haul a variety of goods securely. Refrigerated transportation, in contrast, utilizes specialized trailers with cooling units to keep temperature-sensitive cargo fresh during transit. Flatbed trucks are preferred for transporting items that are too large or awkwardly shaped for enclosed trailers, providing flexibility in handling various types of cargo. Tanker trucks are specifically designed to carry liquid or gas cargo, with different types of tankers suited for different materials
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, Auto Hauler encompass a range of options for shipping goods and vehicles, each with its own advantages and limitations
• Household goods consist of various items commonly found in homes for everyday use
