Responsibilities:

• Emphasize the importance of ensuring road safety for every driver handling tractor-trailers.
• Perform comprehensive examinations of vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are safe for the road.
• Develop a strategic plan to arrange delivery routes in a way that optimizes productivity and ensures timely deliveries.
• Ensure that shipments are transported safely and securely by adhering to the established guidelines for handling and packaging.
• Maintain clear and efficient communication with both dispatchers and customers at each stage of the delivery procedure.
• Maintain precise documentation of both time spent working and regular car upkeep.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and Department of Transportation rules to ensure the safety of employees and goods in transit.
• Promptly report any problems with vehicles, incidents, or violations to ensure adherence to regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess an authentic Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record.
• Fulfillment of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and substance abuse screening.
• Effective abilities in organizing time and synchronizing tasks.
• Proficient in the efficient and secure handling of bulky items during transportation.
• Experienced in providing excellent customer support, adept at fostering strong relationships with clientele.
• Immediately notify authorities of any issues or violations involving vehicles to ensure safety and adherence to regulations.

Flatbed trailers have an open body with no sides or roof, commonly used for transporting oversized or oddly shaped cargo. Tanker trailers are specialized for transporting liquids or gases, with various designs based on the specific substance being transported
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, Auto Hauler are different types of transportation methods for moving goods and vehicles
• The category of products referred to as household goods includes items commonly found in residential settings
