Commercial Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Commercial Truck Driver to operate heavy-duty trucks for freight delivery across city, regional, or interstate routes. The role involves transporting a wide variety of cargo, maintaining logbooks, and adhering to transportation laws and company policies. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of logistics, safe driving practices, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles efficiently for timely pick-up and delivery of goods.
• Plan delivery routes and follow schedules while optimizing driving time.
• Verify cargo accuracy, secure loads properly, and check freight conditions.
• Ensure all transport documentation is complete and submitted as required.
• Stay up-to-date on highway and route conditions to avoid delays or hazards.
• Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to improve delivery operations.
• Comply with company safety rules and state and federal transportation regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid CDL with a strong understanding of commercial vehicle operations.
• Previous experience in freight hauling, logistics, or long-distance driving preferred.
• Knowledge of e-log systems, load manifest procedures, and route planning tools.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to manage cargo loading/unloading when needed.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Must pass required screenings, including background checks and DOT physicals.

Salary

Pay varies based on route type, driver experience, and employment structure (company driver). Drivers can expect competitive per-mile rates, hourly wages, or percentage-based pay. Additional incentives may be offered for safe driving, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery.
