Responsibilities:

• Underline the critical nature of prioritizing safety considerations for drivers handling tractor-trailers.
• Ensure roadworthiness by conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Strategically plan and organize delivery schedules to boost efficiency and maintain punctual delivery times.
• Adhere to the recommended industry practices for handling and packaging shipments to ensure their transportation is safe and secure.
• Uphold effective communication standards with dispatchers and clients to ensure successful deliveries.
• Accurately record the hours worked and the maintenance tasks performed on vehicles.
• Maintaining the safety of personnel and cargo requires the strict observance of safety protocols and adherence to DOT guidelines.
• Immediate reporting of vehicle troubles, accidents, or offenses is crucial for maintaining compliance.

Qualifications:

• Carry a lawful Class A CDL permit.
• Clean driving record.
• Conclusion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical check-up and drug test.
• Capability in coordinating tasks and managing time adeptly.
• Competent in the secure and efficient transportation of heavy loads.
• Well-versed in customer care, with a strong ability to build relationships with a variety of clients.
• Notify authorities promptly about any vehicle issues or violations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and legal standards.

• Dry van trailers are a common choice for shipping goods that need protection from the elements and security during transport. Reefer trailers are essential for transporting perishable goods such as fruits, vegetables, and dairy products that require temperature-controlled environments. Flatbed trailers are used to transport heavy machinery, construction materials, and other oversized cargo that cannot fit into enclosed trailers. Tanker trailers are necessary for hauling liquids like fuel, chemicals, and gases in a safe and efficient manner
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, Auto Hauler are alternative methods of transporting goods and vehicles that offer flexibility and efficiency
• Hazmat pertains to materials that are deemed hazardous and require special handling and transportation precautions
