Qualifications of Flatbed Truck Driver:
- Flatbed Truck Driver required
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
- This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

- The responsibilities outlined in this job description are a reflection of the physical and mental requirements that an associate must meet to perform the essential functions of the position successfully. - The Flatbed Truck Driver must possess adequate visual and auditory capabilities. Necessary vision skills for this position involve near vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to refocus.
- While executing the responsibilities associated with this position, the associate will have to be mobile, standing, walking, and seated. The associate will be frequently required to use their hands for touching, handling, and sensation of objects, along with reaching using their hands and arms. It is important that the associate can lift and/or relocate objects weighing up to 50lbs/23kg on a regular basis and occasionally handle weights up to 100lbs/45kg.
- The employee must have the legal clearance to drive a car and be capable of safely and frequently getting in and out of the vehicle, including the rear cargo section.
