Qualifications of Local Truck Driver:
- A CDL Class A is a prerequisite
- The possession of a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card is a prerequisite that can be obtained if necessary
- Candidates are expected to have at least one year of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years, or alternatively, two years of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years would also be considered
- Three years of driving history sourced from the DMV or MVR with a cap of two moving violations or accidents
- Abide by the legal requirements and standards mandated at the federal and state levels, in addition to rules and guidelines provided by relevant agencies
- Showing up consistently and predictably is a necessary job requirement
- Adhere to the required work hours, work at the specified place of employment, finish the employment application for Penske, consent to a background check that includes prior work experience, educational history, and any criminal records, and participate in a drug screening as part of the mandatory requirements
- This role is governed by the Department of Transportation or identified as safety-sensitive by the organization, necessitating a constant state of vigilance and a focus on safe practices. Employees are expected to assume responsibility for their personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace

The individual will frequently engage in tasks that involve using their hands for touching, handling, and reaching, along with lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50lbs/23kg regularly and up to 100lbs/45kg occasionally.
- The requirement is for the associate to be capable of legally driving a vehicle and to safely and routinely enter and exit the vehicle as well as its rear cargo compartment.
