Lease Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and business-minded Lease Truck Driver to join our fleet through an equipment lease program. This role offers experienced drivers the opportunity to operate their own truck while benefiting from consistent freight, operational support, and financial flexibility. As a Lease Driver, you’ll have control over your schedule, route choices, and income potential—while still enjoying the structure and freight network of a reputable carrier.

Responsibilities

• Operate a leased truck to transport freight across regional or long-haul routes.
• Manage your business operations including fuel management, maintenance, and trip planning.
• Deliver loads on time while maintaining DOT compliance and safety standards.
• Communicate with dispatch for efficient route planning and load assignments.
• Ensure proper load documentation, inspections, and trailer condition reports are completed.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent service at all pickup and drop-off locations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid CDL and a minimum of 1 year of recent driving experience.
• Understanding of lease purchase operations or previous experience as an owner-operator preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HOS regulations and electronic logging devices.
• Good financial management and decision-making skills for fuel and maintenance expenses.
• Reliable driving record and commitment to safe operations.

Salary

Pay varies based on route type, driver experience, and employment structure (company driver). Drivers can expect competitive per-mile rates, hourly wages, or percentage-based pay. Additional incentives may be offered for safe driving, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery.
