Responsibilities:

• Place a strong focus on the safety of all drivers during the operation of tractor-trailers on the roads.
• Guarantee the safety of vehicles on the road by performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Develop a strategic plan to arrange delivery routes in a way that optimizes productivity and ensures timely deliveries.
• Guarantee the safety and security of shipments during transportation by following the industry's handling and packaging standards.
• Sustain clear and concise communication with dispatchers and customers for efficient delivery coordination.
• Maintain precise records of both work hours and vehicle maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and Department of Transportation rules to ensure the safety of employees and goods in transit.
• To remain compliant, it is necessary to report swiftly any vehicle problems, accidents, or violations.

Qualifications:

• Own a valid Class A CDL certificate.
• Clean driving record.
• Meeting the requirements of a DOT physical examination and substance screening.
• Effective abilities in organizing time and synchronizing tasks.
• Able to lift and move heavy objects safely and proficiently.
• Exhibiting expertise in customer service, particularly in nurturing client rapport.
• Timely reporting of any vehicle problems or infractions is essential for ensuring safety and compliance.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van trailers are traditional box trailers used for transporting a wide range of goods securely. Reefers are specialized trailers equipped with cooling systems to transport perishable items like food and pharmaceuticals at controlled temperatures. Flatbed trailers have an open design and are suitable for carrying oversized or irregularly shaped cargo that cannot fit into traditional trailers. Tanker trailers are specifically designed for transporting liquids or gases, with different configurations depending on the type of material being transported
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, Auto Hauler present different strategies for moving cargo, catering to various logistics requirements
• Household items encompass a range of goods typically used within a home environment
