Responsibilities:

• Drivers of tractor-trailers play a critical role in maintaining road safety for all road users.
• Check vehicles meticulously before and after trips to ascertain their road readiness.
• Design a comprehensive plan for structuring delivery schedules that enhances productivity and maintains punctual deliveries.
• Adhere to the established guidelines for handling and packaging to ensure the safe and secure transportation of shipments.
• Consistently communicate clearly and efficiently with dispatchers and customers throughout every stage of the delivery procedure.
• Maintain detailed documentation of both the time dedicated to work and the regular maintenance of your vehicle.
• Upholding safety standards and guidelines outlined by the Department of Transportation is paramount to safeguarding the well-being of employees and goods in transit.
• Notify promptly of any concerns with vehicles, incidents, or violations to uphold regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Have a certified Class A commercial driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Adhering to the prerequisites for a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug testing.
• Competency in effectively organizing time and synchronizing tasks.
• Skilled in the safe and efficient transportation of bulky items.
• Experienced in offering exemplary customer support, adept at building long-lasting relationships with clientele.
• Report promptly to the authorities any issues or violations concerning vehicles to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van, also known as a box trailer, is a type of trucking trailer that is enclosed and used to haul non-perishable goods. Refrigerated, or reefer, trailers are equipped with cooling systems to transport perishable goods at controlled temperatures. Flatbed trailers have an open body with no sides or roof, commonly used for transporting oversized or oddly shaped cargo. Tanker trailers are specialized for transporting liquids or gases, with various designs based on the specific substance being transported
• The transportation of goods and vehicles can be facilitated using specialized methods like Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, and Auto Hauler
• Items categorized as household goods are frequently used within household settings
